Our 2018 version is inspired by the colour ways of Vancouver's first high school - King Edward High School.
The iconic flying V was worn by Vancouver's first athletes including legendary sprinter, Percy Williams, who was once the fastest man in the world. Percy attended Vancouver's first high school, King Edward Secondary which was located at 12th and Oak (the schools rock wall remains standing around the Hospital today).
The Vancouver Athletic Club was Vancouver's first sports club. The VAC had all different teams including lacrosse, baseball, soccer, track, cricket, football and swimming. There is not much known or written about the club other than photo evidence that they existed. Their clubhouse was located at Beatty and Dunsmuir.
