Growing up I spent my summers on Texada Island on the Sunshine Coast.

Sechelt, Saltery Bay, Savary, Secret Cove, Smugglers Cove, Skookumchuck.

We would hike and trail blaze through the back country, exploring and mapping the island. I now have my own place on the coast, in Garden Bay near Sechelt.
The slow pace, the peace and quiet is what soothes the soul.
A cold dip off the government dock.
Kayaking around the lake watching the Loons fish.
