Inspired by our logging roots including the Hastings Sawmill from 1865. Most images of Vancouver in the early 1900's include loggers clearing land and roads.

Prior to its incorporation after the great fire of 1886, Vancouver was called Granville, and Burrard prior to that.

Chopping wood and chopping trees is a part of our heritage. Whether it's loggers felling trees or bucking up firewood, crossed axes represents hard work and getting shit done. If you like to camp or spend time in the outdoors, you understand that mentality.
