The Vancouver Asahi 1914 ball cap is a tribute to the 100 year anniversary of the teams inaugural season.

The Asahi's home field was The Powell Street Grounds (now called Oppenheimer Park) located near Railtown in the Downtown Eastside. They played a unique style of ball called "Brain ball" which involved bunting and stealing bases.

The Asahi were an incredibly successful team, winning numerous city championships until they folded in 1941, shortly after Pearl Harbour was attacked.
